Multiple custom sort orders for a content item

description

It isn't possible for a content item to be referenced by more than one custom sort order.

For example, if you have a list of "Product" items, and you want to have two custom sort orders: "Featured Products" and "Products under $20", you can't place the same product in both lists.

There is a very simple fix. Just remove the primary key constraint on Vandelay_Industries_CustomSortOrderRecord's Id column using SQL Management Studio. I'll integrate the change into the migration for new users.

Hey Bertrand, I don't think this quite works. I'm getting an exception that there is more than one record with the same id.

Was this ever resolved? would really like to use the custom sort order for a certain feature on our site.

No sorry - never got this working. You need to make sure a content item is only in a single custom sort order otherwise it explodes.
